There are faces I remember ...

(with apologizes to the Beatles, "In My Life")

There are faces I remember
All my life, though some have changed,
Some forever, not for better,
Some have gone and some remain.
All these faces had their moments,
With children and friends I still can recall,
Some are sad and some are laughing,
In my life I've loved them all.

But of all these friends and children,
There is no one compared with you,
And these mem'ries lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new.
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before,
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more.

Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before,
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more.
In my life I love you more.

So many of these faces are still waiting:
Waiting for food
Waiting for water
Waiting for a bed
Waiting for a pencil to take to school
Waiting for a ball to play with
Waiting for a hug
Waiting for someone to love them forever

What can you do TODAY that can make a difference forever in the life of one of these children?
Can you send money for window screens so they can feel the breeze?
Can you organize a pencil drive at your local school?
Can you send money for soap and ointments to heal the children's skin?
Can you find the money to sponsor a child going to school?
Can you find the money to feed a child who is still waiting for a forever family?
What are you willing to do that will change their lives for the better?

Thank you for sharing your journey and the journey of these beautiful lives. My heart aches for these beautiful children. We will be prayerfully considering what God would have our family do to serve.
